Retro games

Hello all today I will chat about retro games and how they sit in the history of gaming. Retro games is a loose term that incompases older generations of video games. So every couple of years retro gaming becomes more broad with more consoles and games getting wrapped up under the title of retro games.

Retro gaming is somewhat relative to the individual who played those games but usually means games on a older obsolete console or type of computer. I classify as all games and consoles before the playstation came out to retro because they were out and obsolete before I became a gamer. Now in 2015 I have had to add the PS1, PS2,XBOX and several more games to the list of retro gaming even thow they don't seem old to me because I grow up with them and still play them on occasion.

Retro gaming is a wealth of knowledge that many game developers use as inspiration for adding something old and forgotten and updating it to make it something completely new. Many indie developers make retro style games that are games made with modern technology but are in the style of theses old games but some developers can't get the feel of the game right because those old games were made with limitations and if you remove those limitations it can change the feel of the game.
