Polished, juicy games

So what is juice in a game? Well it's what makes a game fun and if used correctly it can save even the most boring game. Juice can make any game fun and all developers should add some level of juice. Juice can be audio or visual but it doesn't have to be. A Polished game is a game that you’ve finished the core game so you add unnecessary mechanics or effects to make it more engaging.
Juice can be comprised of particle effect, screen shake and small add ons that can make a game interesting. But I would look at what type of game you want to make before you go throwing in random effects. For example if I was making a first person shooter I would add screen shake when the gun fired, a dust particle effect where the bullet hit, muzzle flash made up of another particle effect and a repeating audio clip of a gun firing.

First Pac Man game with basic polish or juice.

Amazing style but basicly the same game play. This has so much juice I could stare at this picture alone and want to play this game.
