Hello to all my lovely readers today I will be chatting about my artistic influences and how they inspire me to become a better artist. They may not be all from gaming even thow I am a game designer but I believe these people are amazing at their individual styles.
First off is one of my favorite 2D game companies which is Oddworld Inhabitants who have entertained me since I was a young. The art in there games is phenomenal with amazing backdrops and creative creatures. Each species is drawn with X-ray diagrams showing how they move muscles and joints which makes the animation in these characters interesting. The backgrounds of their games are very detailed showing the strangeness of this world that they have created as well as their overall message about industrialism trampling all over nature. The viewer can see the difference between the depressing slaughter house of rapture farms and the beautiful but deadly landscapes of the world of oddworld.

I have been recently looking at the work of Salvador Dali an artist I have known off but have never really looked in to. I heard about him thru his most well known piece the The Persistence of Memory but now I know him as an eccentric man who loved life and was a skilled artist. I have been looking at his abstract paintings and I find them fascinating for a reason I do not know yet. But I would love to make an abstract piece in a game. Something the player can find stand back and ponder on its existence.
